Today is one of those “What would you days” at the Bous Theory.  Before I dive into that, I watched the 4th Quarter of the Boston-Detroit series last night (Really about the last five minutes) in a game that didn’t disappoint.  Although, I would like the Celtics-Lakers final, last night did nothing to disprove to me that Detroit is still going to win the series.  If they can win at home tomorrow night, I really like the Pistons chances in a game 7 at Boston.  Down the stretch, Boston looks like a scared team that doesn’t know who to go to when they’re in trouble.  Luckily for them, Ray Allen hit a big shot with eight seconds left to put them up four.  He misses that, and I’m not so sure Boston wins last night (In a game they were up 13 heading to the 4th).  At some point, their tentativeness is going to catch up with them and I think it will be game 7 at Boston.

Okay, so there’s my NBA review…now let’s move into something more fun that gets everyone involved.  I’ve got Pandora Radio playing on my computer.  If you still haven’t checked this out after my first suggestion of it, I really think you should this time.  Just type an artist you like, and it’ll play that artist and similar music all day long.  For a work setting, it may not get any better.

Back to today’s “What Would You” game.  Here’s today’s question:  If you were a Major League Baseball Player, what would be your song intro before you stepped up to the plate?  The summer I worked for the Rockies, outside of eating Burritos, nachos, pizza, and hot dogs, I always thought it was cool to hear the players intro songs.  Larry Walker came out to Crazy Train by Ozzy Osbourne.  Todd Helton came out to “Down with the Sickness”.  Roger Clemens even got an AB out in Denver, coming out to Over and Over by Mindy McCready (poor attempt at humor).  My favorites were the Latin players like Juan Uribe, in which you had no clue what the song was, but it was always awesome!

Even if I wasn’t watching the game or working right inside the stadium, I knew exactly who was up to bat.  Remember, this is a song that will play for you every night for 81 home games (actually I guess you could always mix it up, but for Bous Theory purposes, you just get one).  Do you pick something that pumps you up?  A popular song at the time?  A classic that gets the crowd fired up?  A latin rap song like Juan Uribe that no one knows, but it’s incredibly good?

If you need some help, here’s a story about MLB players song intros from 2004.  For some, a lot goes into picking one.  For others, the clubbie may even pick it out.

So, fire away in the comments section.  Song and artist and a reason why if you feel so inclined to do so.

As I’m sitting here thinking of one, I realize how tough this is.  If you need to take more than one, I think that’s only fair.  I might end up taking about 81.  Opening day, I’m going with Untitled by O.A.R. (I literally spent 48 minutes thinking of mine.  Maybe I should have gone with “Wasted Time” by The Eagles).   Go to Project Playlist if you want to hear my pick.  Your turn to fill up my comments section with your choices.

2:46PM UPDATE:  I’ve already switched my song to Snow (Hey Oh) by the Red Hot Chili Peppers.  If you want to send 3 or 4 songs, feel free.  With the overwhelming response, it’s almost certain that the “What Would You” game is near extinction.
