Because it took us four hours to get Downtown, get my credentials and get back to the hotel, we didn’t make it to the Pepsi Center last night for Hillary Clinton’s party-unifying speech, but we caught it on television.

Great stuff, and just what the doctor ordered.

Clinton’s name will be ceremoniously placed in nomination this afternoon, a gesture that hopefully will bring additional closure to the bitter primary process.

As the week continues, the pace and the excitement are picking up, and people are buzzing with anticipation about Barack Obama’s big speech on Thursday night at Invesco Field.

We’ll be on hand this evening to hear Indiana Sen. Evan Bayh deliver remarks to the convention, and I’ll try to get video footage back to you. (I’m still having a ton of technical problems, but we’ll get it figured out. I promise we will.)

The biggest problem here remains the organization of the convention. Denver is a beautiful city, but in part because it’s so spread out, the convention has been difficult to navigate at times, and it’s organizers didn’t get every detail just right before we arrived.

Still, it’s a scene you don’t want to miss, and I’ll bring you more updates later today.
