Could someone please let the pols and talking heads on Capitol Hill know that we here on Main Street are sick and tired of the Main Street/Wall Street comparison?
It was cute the first 3,276 times.
Leave it to Washington to take clever and beat it into rhetorical submission.
Stop. Please.

I think it’s just the pols way of showing they’re in touch with the common man. The common, faceless man they claim to be helping because it’s an election year.
If they were really that in touch, they would know that most of the local commerce ain’t that concerned with Main Street either. Small business and entrepreneurs make up half the economy, and it’s all happening on My Street.
Main Street is becoming one of those mythical, nebulous places.

Centralization of credit in the hands of the State, by means of a national bank with State capital and an exclusive monopoly.
Jen,
For once, we are in complete agreement… Well played.
Bill, that’s called the Federal Reserve Bank.
You might want to read a bit of Alexander Hamilton from the history books, a great patriot, for his views on the benefits of a national banking system.
