This is it! It’s gonna take two (hopefully very entertaining) hours to find out who wins Season Six.

Kristi, Jason, or Cristian?

After a recap of Monday night’s terrific dances, the show welcomed Usher to the ballroom for the first of two performances.

Stars from the first five seasons weigh in on their picks for the season six winner. Joey Lawrence, Vivica A. Fox, Jerry Springer, Drew Lachey, Lisa Rinna and Harry Hamlin, Jane Seymour, Leesa Gibbons, Wayne Newton, Trista Rehn, Joey Fatone, even Mark Cuban.

The show promised that one couple would be announced early in the show as the third place finisher. In third place: Cristian and Cheryl.

The couple were then shown a touching video, reviewing their friendship since the beginning of the competition so many weeks ago. The video showed all the hard work through all the hours of rehearsals. It was a very sentimental and sweet review that brought a tear to Cheryl. It really meant a lot to her. The couple were allowed to do the Pasa Dobel, their favorite dance, as their last dance.

Penn Jillette returned and danced and as Tom Bergeron remarked “Penn brought a little magic to the floor, and judging by his low scores…very little magic!” Tom Bergeron still gets MVP for his quips.

Monica Seles was back, too. What’s great about seeing the early stars that were voted off? To see the really high quality of the dancers that made it to the finals! 

Steve “The Gute” Guttenberg returned. And was still as appreciative as ever!

Adam Carolla was back with Julianne Hough…and he brought his unicycle! (and graciously plugged his radio show, Julianne’s new CD which dropped on Tuesday, and explained ”Dancing with the Stars” is why the terrorists hate America…don’t ask but it was funny.)

The youngsters were back. Remember last week, you were given a chance to vote for the Junior Champions? Viewers voted for Brandon and Britney! And the trophy was presented by Brandon’s favorite Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders!

Prisilla Presley returned to do a Tango.

Then Marlee Matlin was on the ballroom floor. Between seeing the stars doing their favorite dances, its fun to relive the edited highlights of each week of the competition. I had forgotten just how emotional Shannon Elizabeth got after getting poor reviews from the judges. She and Derek did a enthusiastic dance routine.

Mario and Karina Mambo’d across the ballroom. It’s too bad Mario got voted off when he did. He’s terrific.

Three former champs were introduced…Season 2 winner Drew Lachey, Season 1’s Kelly Monaco and Season 5’s Helio Castroneves (who got a plug in for this weekend’s Indy 500, also airing on ABC!)

Marrisa and Tony danced again.

But it really comes down to Kristi and Jason. That’s what we want to see. (Though Usher’s second performance was energetic fun.) 

The two couples are introduced to the theme from “Rocky” with a laser light show even!

Kristi and Mark danced their Jive again. Len called Kristi ”the most consistent dancer from any of the seasons!” Bruno said she didn’t miss a beat. Carrie Ann said they set the standard for the whole competition. 10-10-10!

Jason and Edyta performed the quick step to “The Dirty Boogie” ending with  Bruno said the crowd was calling for him! His best performance! Carrie Ann was effusive. Len said Kristi may be the judge’s champion, but Jason is the people’s champion! 10-10-10! Finally, Jason got a perfect score!

Finally its time to hand over the Ballroom trophy. And it is…

Kristi and Mark! Kristi thanked all the fans, crew everyone that made it happen. Jason never thought he would be doing the show, let alone in the finals. And Tom handed te trophy over to Kristi and Jason and Cristian picked up Kristi!

A great way to end the show.

Before any dance tonight, my prediction is that Kristi and Cristian will end up in the final battle (at least based on last week’s dances.) So let’s see how I do at the end of this post.

First up…the Cha Cha Face-off!

The three finalists will go head to head with their Cha Cha!

Cristian and Cheryl will lead off. Followed by Jason and Edyta. Then Kristi and Mark.

In the group rehearsal, they got to see what everyone else was doing. (Except Kristi and Mark had only choreographed :30 seconds worth.) A strategic move? Hmmmm….

Jason admits his Cha Cha was weak earlier in the season. And he was pretty impressed with Kristi’s moves.

Cristian and Cheryl start to ”Dancing on the Ceiling.” I thought Cristian was good on the routine. Then Jason and Edyta moved onto the floor. Jason had fun…but then Kristi and Mark literally took over the dance with shy Kristi planting a kiss on Bruno…and it was no competition! She was terrific. It’s her competition to win or lose. She is so good.

The judges were impressed with all of them and the back to back dance really showed off their individual styles. (Funny to see Bruno still smeared with Kristi’s lipstick across his face…looked great in High Definition!) While Len and Carrie Ann felt Jason was much improved, the Cha Cha just isn’t his dance. But Carrie Ann summed it up best: This was ladie’s night and Kristi ruled! 

The judge’s scores for Cristian and Cheryl: 8-9-9 (26) 

Jason and Edyta’s score: 8-8-8 (24)

Kristi and Mark: 10-10-10 (a perfect 30!) They win the Cha Cha Face off!

Up next, the Freestyle round. This should be fun. Anything goes (and encouraged!)

Julianne Hough stopped by to assist Kristi and Mark (they used to be professional partners.) They are trying a risky back-flip.

When Kristi and Mark took the floor, they took off! Man…the dance was breath-takingly scary. Precise, impressive steps, elaborate carries and moves. Mark showed Kristi up a little in the final part of the dance, but she hung with him.

Bruno was effusive: ”That was worthy of the championship to me!” Carrie Ann loved it! Then it was “Cranky pants” Len’s turn…he started to speak (everyone expected the worst) But he surprised saying the routine held his attention from start to finish! He “absolutely loved it!” Bruno and Carrie Ann, stunned, were just as impressed with Len coming around to their hip-hop ways!

Girl Power! 10-10-10! A perfect 60 out of 60!

Jason and Edyta. Edyta took some bumps and bruises in their rehearsals…but they brought it to the dance floor.

Dancing to a funky song about “Going to Miami” (Jason’s hometown) he seemed absolutely energized. And Edyta. Hot. Hot. Hot. Ripping clothes off, fancy and impressive lifts. And a conclusion with Edyta ripping off Jason’s shirt. And a rousing standing ovation from the crowd.

Carrie Ann recognized Edyta making it to the finals after all six seasons. Then Carrie Ann turned to Jason with a grin: ”Who knew Jason Taylor could get so funky?” Carrie Ann loved it! Len loved the lifts, loved the dance! Bruno said they were dancing centerfolds! 

The judges scores for Jason and Edyta: 9-9-9.

Cristian is a funny guy, kidding around. But he did hurt himself in rehearsals, he landed on his arm. Cheryl brought her Season Three trophy for inspiration.

Man the one armed dancer is putting it all out for the final dance. And seems to be having a ball!

Len loved Latin American flavor…but pointed out Cristian was challenged to do the lifts, particularly compared with the others. Carrie Ann said he may not beat Kristi…but Cristian’s a winner in so many other ways. Oh oh…not a ringing endorsement. The scores: 9-8-9.  

At the beginning of the post, I thought it would be Kristi and Cristian as the final two standing. Cristian put it all out there, but his injury may ultimately hold him back (even though he finished ahead of Jason.)

Guess we’ll find out on the two hour Results Show Finale! Several stars will be back on the floor. And Usher will perform! Tuesday beginning at 9PM Eastern on ABC!
