The confused answer of Miss South Carolina in last week’s Miss Teen USA pageant has spread like wildfire on YouTube.com
Lauren Caitlin Upton, 18, responded to a question about why one-fifth of Americans can’t locate the U.S. on a map. Her answer did not make a whole lot of sense. It was a combination of South Africa and the phrase “such as.”
Over six million people have watched the clips online.

There’s that saying about… from the mouth of babes. Well, my babes are no different. I can always count on them to tell me the truth, no matter how brutal it might be.
While recently experimenting with eyeshadow, I tried a new shade of green. Minutes later, I served my kids a snack. One of my sons gave me a confused look and said, “Mommy, what’s wrong with your eye?” I explained that I was wearing green eyeshadow. He then asked every young child’s favorite question… “Why?” I explained that the eyeshadow was supposed to make me look more attractive. My son then told me that I looked “funny.” I’ve since decided green eyeshadow may not be for me.
My kids are also brutally honest about my hair. Let’s face it. After getting up at 3 a.m., working all day, then taking care of the kids all afternoon… I can be a bit of a mess by 6 p.m. One afternoon, after an especially harrowing day, my oldest son asked me what was wrong with my hair. I explained to him that I hadn’t brushed it in about 5 hours. He then told me that perhaps it was time to brush it again.
I guess it’s kind of nice that I have such loyal critics in the house. Every time I ask my husband if he likes my hair, he says something like… “Well, what really matters, honey, is whether you like it.” Sometimes he’ll say, “Oh, Grace. You could shave your head and you’d still be pretty to me.” I guess I don’t blame my husband for giving such “safe” comments. Most husbands know better than to say if their wives really look fat in a pair of pants. What man wants to sleep on the couch for a week? So, ladies, I would strongly recommend if you want an honest opinion about your weight, hair, makeup or any other matter of appearance… just ask anyone under six-years-old.

Users can click on a contact’s name and send them an e-mail, instant message or text message. Text messages can be typed on a keyboard and sent directly to a cell phone.
Last February, Yahoo announced it would provide unlimited storage space. Users can also stick with the current version, which Yahoo will now call “Classic.”
