TGIF
TGIF, everyone. I can’t remember the last time I was so happy it was Friday. (O-K… maybe it was last Friday morning.) At any rate, like most working people, Friday is a day we can take a collective sigh of relief and look forward to the weekend.
Paul is starting his weekend by giving blood… again. Paul is such a good guy. He gives blood about every 6 weeks or so. Way to go, Paul. Not only does he keep Central Indiana informed about the weather, he gives the gift of life over and over again. With the weather forecast looking so good for the weekend, Paul and his wife will no doubt spend at least part of the weekend biking through the area. Happy trails, Paul!
Tom has yet another working weekend on tap. He, his wife and his father-in-law are hoping to finish the apartment above his wife’s new law office. Tom says he has a love-hate relationship with this project. I think many of us can relate. There are times when Tom thinks, “This is going to be great! It’s really fun to renovate an entire apartment.” There are other times when he thinks, “Gosh this is a lot of work. I’m tired. I hate this. This is no fun at all.” Hang in there, Tom. Once everything is completed and beautiful, it’ll all be worth it. You can take great pride in knowing you worked so hard on something and it looks absolutely fabulous.
Dan is going to do some work around his place, too. He’s completing his “man room”… aka the basement. I think he wants to have everything finished so he can have some people over to watch football on Sunday. With all of the travelling he’s been doing, I’m sure it’ll be nice for Dan to finally spend a weekend at home.
I’m looking forward to a nice weekend with my family. Tomorrow night, I’m serving as the Mistress of Ceremonies for A Night to Remember. It’s a gala event for cancer patients and their families. It’s really a wonderful event. I’ve participated for several years now. The patients spend the evening being pampered, entertained and inspired by uplifting speakers. The lady who founded the group is one of the most beautiful people, inside and out, you could ever hope to meet.
I hope all of you have a great weekend! We’ll see you Monday.
