Blood Day
Happy Wednesday! Today’s blog will be a little short. It’s one of those really crazy days. Today is our big blood drive in support of our co-worker, Don Foss. I’m hoping we have good participation here at RTV-6. I know people care and want to do what they can to show support for Don as he fights cancer.
I’m really proud of the response I’ve had from my co-workers. Neither Dan nor Tom have given before, but both agreed to give blood. As Tom said, “It’s just the right thing to do.” Thanks guys. Perhaps you noticed that Paul was wearing a yellow bracelet on the air this morning. He wore it for Don. The writing on the bracelet says, Live Strong.
During life’s battles, we’re often called to be strong. At those moments when you feel a little weak, it’s nice to know you have good friends and co-workers who are there to hold you up and lift your spirits.

Grace: My daughter is a cancer survivor. We prayed to St Peregrine, the patron saint of cancer patients, and Lisa is now a survivor. Also, a friend, Steve, who was not expected to survive is now cancer free and Sister Sue at St Christopher is also in remission. Please tell Don and his family to stay positive and we will keep him in our prayers. I have St Peregrine medals and prayer cards. If he would like one I would be happy to send it to him or to you to pass on for him.
God Bless You and Channel 6 for being so supportive!
It means everything to the cancer patient and his/hers family.
