Clowning around
I hope all of you got a chance to see the 6-o-clock hour of Good Morning Indiana. It was really a fun show. Julie showcased the Ringling Brothers Circus which is at Conseco Fieldhouse this weekend. Julie is a pro at handling this type of assignment. You might think that feature stories are easier to cover than hard news. I don’t think that’s always the case… especially when you’re dealing with a bunch of clowns. (Feel free to insert a joke about working with Paul and Tom) At any rate, Julie had everything well planned but it’s hard to predict how clowns and circus acts will react to a live camera. Julie just goes with the flow and makes it fun for the audience.
My husband and I haven’t really discussed our weekend plans yet. It’s been a really hectic week. The circus might be fun, but I’m not sure how my 2 1/2 year old would react. At least two of my co-workers admitted they were scared of clowns when they were young. (I won’t embarrass my friends by mentioning any names) It’s pretty common I think for kids to go through a stage where clowns are a little scary. My kids weren’t too crazy about Santa Claus for awhile… that is, until they discovered he would be coming down the chimney on Christmas Eve to deliver presents.
Being able to spend quality time with my husband and three children this weekend will be a real gift. Knowing my family, I’m sure we’ll find some time to clown around and have some fun.
