It’s a good week for fans of good TV. And for fans of V.

That’s the name of ABC’s new series premiering tonight- actually it’s a remake of an old classic. The show features an alien invasion of Earth, and it stars an Indianapolis teen, Logan Huffman, who was featured this week in the Entertainment Blog on theIndyChannel.com – check it out! Really a pretty neat story about a local kid who has found success, despite battling dyslexia. And we’re looking forward to seeing him make his big break in Hollywood, as he stars next to Elizabeth Mitchell, who had been a star on Lost.

We’ve already enjoyed a number of new shows this year- including ABC’s Flash Forward- which also includes a couple of former Lost stars.

Of course, there’s also Dancing with the Stars, and the World Series- and this one could turn out pretty interesting.

After the Yankees took a 3-1 lead, the Phillies bounced back to win Game 5, which means the series will continue Wednesday night back in New York. It’s been a long time since the Fall Classic has gone at least six games- in recent years it’s really been rather boring. And even this year, it’s been a little difficult for me to watch. The star pitchers from both teams were recently members of the Cleveland Indians (my favorite team) – and now they’re finding great success after moving into a brighter spotlight (and don’t forget- bigger paychecks, too!) … also, the games are on so late, it’s difficult for someone on the early shift to watch more than one inning of baseball. (They did move up the weeknight starts to 7:57 this year, but that’s still hard for a lot of young fans, too…)

So how to watch V and more TV and still get some Z’s?

Three more letter for ya: D-V-R!

See you in the morning…
