Above Average…

Temperatures were above average on Saturday. We got up to 80 degrees for our afternoon high and we’ll get even warmer on Sunday. Temperatures will be in the mid 80s on Sunday.

A cold front will move into the state after midnight Sunday night and into Monday morning. This will bring us some scattered showers and thunderstorms.

Otherwise, temps will stay above average over the next seven days.

Weather Word…

SUBSIDENCE

A descending motion of air in the atmosphere, usually with the implication that the condition extends over a rather broad area.

An area of high pressure is responsible for subsidence.

Leaf Cam…

Without leaving home you can enjoy the colors of Fall. Due to the dry weather, the colors will probably not be as vibrant.

I have provided a link that will allow you to view 6 different Leaf Cameras in Indiana.

Enjoy!

Wind Damage…

Thunderstorms yesterday produced wind damage in a number of counties: Hendricks, Madison, Monroe, Henry, Delaware, Randolph, Jackson and Jennings.

Here is an email and pictures from Jennifer from southeast Monroe County:

At about 4:45 pm the winds picked up and did some damage. No structural damage, but a lot of trees down, along with our 75 year old walnut tree being uprooted. I’ve attached some pictures for you to see. My parents live in the southeast part of Monroe County on Snoddy Road. We have no clue what hit us.
